Matthias Neuwirth-Trapp is a PhD student in AVI, working jointly with Bosch Research and ETH Zurich. His research sits at the intersection of computer vision and continual learning.
His work focuses on incremental object detection — enabling perception models to learn new object categories over time without forgetting previously learned ones — including the design of realistic benchmarks for incremental learning in object detection and prompt-based approaches to lifelong perception.
